BOWEN SIGNAGE
APPLYING WAYFINDING TO A BUILDING;
I was responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping wayfinding for Johnson & Wales University’s John J. Bowen Center for Science and Innovation. As part of the requirements, I had to design a graphic system that clearly labels specific labs, classrooms, facilities, and floor identifiers within the building. I designed my signage to fit seamlessly with the building’s current aesthetic. Additionally, I won the contest that was held for the best wayfinding system and was able to install my signage in the building. The voters consisted of students, professors, the department chair, the dean, the assistant dean, and the Vice President of Real Estate & Facilities Management at Johnson & Wales University.
